Our home is a completely remodeled two story older home and a large new addition with a full basement area.   These three levels are fully used to give our residents spacious private and shared rooms, and ample room for socializing with other residents or their visitors.

The large downstairs family room is ideal for residents to have private family gatherings away from other residential activities. The comfortable furniture and fireplace make this a popular room. Some of the bedrooms in the new addition are close to the great room, and dining area.  And other bedrooms are on the lower level of this addition, with several rooms in the  remodeled part of our home.  We do not have long  hallways in our home.

We strive for a home-like family atmosphere for our residents. Several sizes of rooms are available to accommodate either a single bed or a double bed.  Most of our rooms are private or single resident rooms.  Some are double rooms for two residents to share. All residents are encouraged to bring some of  their own furniture and personal items to help them make this their new home.

Housekeeping, daily laundry and other daily services are provided by our trained staff for all residents.  Our friendly staff visit with each resident as they go about their routine each day.
The residents, and our staff,  benefit from this interaction . Activities are done thru out the whole house with different activities at different times. All residents may choose to participate in structured craft activities. All meals are served on the main level, spacious, bright dining rooms. The meals are planned by our own certified head cook and are prepared in house by our cooking staff.  The special diets of each resident is fit into the meal plan of the day.
The nurses' station is always open. We have a LPN nurse in house four days a week and a RN one day a week with 24 hour on call RN service. The residents tend to have more confidence when they know our nursing staff is concerned about their medical needs.
The nurse on duty supervises all medical prescriptions and all medically  prescribed procedures.   Daily and weekly charts are kept for all residents and are open for family members to view when requested. Daily activities are scheduled to provide mobility exercise for the residents.  Everyone is encouraged to participate to their abilities.  These are fun times for the residents to socialize with their peers.
Our residents have many opportunities to socialize with other residents during card and bingo games.  There are  regular visitors from the community who stop in and join in the games or quilting activities.  When the weather is nice, our residents enjoy the outdoors and take short walks around our spacious grounds.
Our residents find meaningful ways to occupy their time.  Some take this opportunity to shred newspapers to be used as bedding for animals. Others find caring for the house plants to be an enjoyable past time.   There are always many current papers and magazines available for reading.
